Primary Objective: 

Assist the Core Clinical System (CCS) Project Manager and team in the delivery of the detailed design phase of the CCS project as a part of the overall Core Clinical Systems Renewal Program (CCSRP). The Senior Project Officer will provide high quality project management, coordination and support for the delivery of project activities including workshops, stakeholder management, milestone tracking, issues and risk monitoring and management and status reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Coordinate and undertake a range of project deliverables and activities associated with the delivery of the Core Clinical System (CCS) project as assigned by the Project Manager.

2.   Work independently on assigned activities under the guidance of the Project Manager, taking ownership and accountability for their delivery.

3.   Develop and maintain strong working relationship, and work collaboratively with the project team, clinical and systems stakeholders and vendors to achieve project and program objectives.

4.   Assist the Project Manager in the planning and coordination of project related activities such as requirements and design workshops including preparing documentation, organising facilities, resources and stakeholders and assisting with execution.

5.   Monitoring and managing project risks, issues and status, preparing and/or co-ordinating updates to project status reports, risk and issues reports and registers.

6.   Ensure project adherence to agreed project and program governance models and frameworks, notify of deviations and suggest steps for resolution.

7.   Provide project support, including performing the secretariat role for workshops, committees, etc. as required.

 

Selection Criteria:

Essential:

1.   Demonstrated experience in project/program environments in project management/coordination role or similar.

2.   Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and processes of the project lifecycle.

3.   Proven capabilities in project coordination, project status, risk and issue monitoring and management.

4.   High level oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with team members, internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.

5.   Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.

6.   Demonstrated high level organisational and coordination skills including the ability to work autonomously, under pressure and complete tasks within required timeframes, use initiative, prioritise workloads and maintain flexibility.

7.   Experience in working with high performing teams with high priority deliverables.

 

Desirable:

1.   Formal Qualification (or working towards) in Business Administration, Project Management or other qualification or equivalent experience.

2.   Experience in NT Health
