  • VPSG-4 range $82,574 - $93,689 p.a. + super + leave loading*
  • One (1) full time, fixed term position until 30 June 2019.
  • Working within the Capability Division, Counter Terrorism Command located at 313 Spencer Street, Docklands VIC 3008.**

About the role

The Victorian Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (VFTAC) is a proactive, Police-mental health collaboration, established in March 2018, to assess and manage problematic behaviours by  individuals.

As the successful applicant, you will work as part of a growing team alongside investigators, mental health clinicians, other work units within Victoria Police and external stakeholders, to assist in the planning and implementation of the VFTAC Training and Communications strategy. 

Some of your duties will include:

  • Conducting training and communication activities to ensure the function of VFTAC is understood by stakeholders;
  • Designing and delivery of training (this may be specific to Occupational Health and Safety, including mental health);
  • Developing packages in support of unit and command goals, including writing training guides and supporting materials;
  • Establishing communications strategy and plans;
  • Developing communications and engagement materials;
  • Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Monitoring stakeholder satisfaction of training products and communications;
  • Reporting on quarterly training evaluations.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Ability to work within a team but also independently;
  • Confidence to engage with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels;
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to think creatively and identify further opportunities;
  • Proven capacity to coordinate tasks and determine priorities.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • The successful candidate must be required to undergo and successfully obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance to the level determined by the Department head. To obtain this clearance applicants must be an Australian citizen.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable.
  • Previous experience in learning design is desirable.

*Please note that this position is effective the 1 July 2018 and therefore, the VPSG4 salary range will increase to $82,574-$93,689 as per the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2016.

**Your usual place of work will be within the Capability Division, Counter Terrorism Command, however you may be required to work at any other division within the Counter Terrorism Command as required.
