Echuca Regional Health encompasses an aged care service, Glanville Village, which accommodates 60 residential beds. The Northern Rivers Graduate Nurse Program is an exciting regional collaborative program rotating between partnering health services in Northern Victoria. The program offers graduates the opportunity to experience regional and rural nursing in a structured rotational process.

  • Two positions of 6 months at Echuca Regional Health and 6 months at Cohuna District Hospital

The program aims to provide a supportive environment by:

  • Providing orientation at both health facilities
  • Paid study days
  • Ongoing clinical support from clinical educators, preceptors and the Northern Rivers Graduate Coordinator
  • Opportunity for exposure to speciality areas such as Emergency/ Urgent care, Palliative care, District Nursing, Gerontology and Rehabilitation nursing, and Theatre
  • Opportunities to work within a hospital setting and a primary health care setting

The Northern Rivers Graduate Nurse Program is seeking eligible applicants for the Graduate Nurse Program commencing 28 January 2019.  Successful registration with Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) - Computer Matching Service is a requirement. Please ensure you meet eligibility criteria.

The position is 0.8 EFT (8 days per fortnight, rotating roster).

The position requires registration with AHPRA prior to 28 January 2019.

To complete your application you will be required to provide the following:

  • One page cover letter
  • Concise Curriculum Vitae including list of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year placements (hospital, ward area / experience and number of days) *  we understand that  your placements may not be complete for 2018 *
  • Most recent official academic transcript including key
  • Copy of two recent acute clinical assessment documents (in pdf format)
  • Two nursing referees who have directly supervised your undergraduate clinical experience, preferably from a third year placement, ensure you provide phone and email contacts
  • Copy of current police check
  • An indication of which stream you are interested in or both
  • Completed online questionnaire

NB: All successful candidates will be required to provide a police check less than one year old on commencement of employment.

Round two:

Interview process (planned for August 30th and 31st).
