Whitehorse City Council is offering committed, caring and positive people the opportunity to join their Home and Community Care team working as a Support Worker. These positions play a vital role in supporting Whitehorse’s elderly residents, their carer givers and people with a disability to live active, engaged and independent lives.
The successful candidates will have the following:
- Certificate III in Home and Community Care or Aged Care
- Experience in monitoring and assisting clients with dementia or disabilities,
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with frail older people, people with disabilities and their carers and people from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated understanding of safe food handling techniques.
- Excellent Customer Service. Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid Victorian Drivers licence
- Permanent access to a roadworthy and insured vehicle
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
