Workers Compensation Officer

About the Role

Within this role you shall be responsible for:

  • Developing, maintaining and monitoring Council’s workers compensation system;
  • Coordinating rehabilitation and return to work for employees to ensure the safe and sustainable return to work, including the provision of advice to employees and Council of their respective rights and responsibilities with regard to workers compensation and rehabilitation;
  • Formulating and maintaining Council’s chemical registers;
  • Organising and maintaining Council vaccination programs.


About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Recent experience in a return to work, injury management, safety administration, or related role;
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication;
  • Strong administration experience, including data analysis, database management, and reporting skills;
  • Awareness of the requirements associated with working with confidential and medical related information.



This is a full time, permanent role, with remuneration in the range of $62,311 - $70,109 pa (depending on skills and experience) for a 35 hour week, with access to Council’s Flexible Working Hours policy, plus 9.5% superannuation.
