Procurement Manager

This senior leadership role is a dynamic and challenging blend of strategic leadership and operational management across the functionally diverse departments of Council. This position is full time, 35hrs/week and a 9 day fortnight.  You will be required to work with a broad range of stakeholders including the Senior Management Team, Council, Government agencies and the Federation Council community.  The successful applicant will need a record of professional achievement, financial acumen, a strong outcomes focus and the ability to balance competing priorities are all critical to the success of this role.

  • Develop and implement strategic and sustainable improvement across the functions of Finance, Risk and Procurement, to drive innovative and engaging business transformation.
  • Embrace opportunities to implement a proactive business partner approach, effective in responding to the needs of Directorates and Departments across Council.
  • Provide highly specialised advice, guidance and accountability to ensure the fulfillment of all statutory and regulatory obligations, accounting procedures and reporting requirements.
