The Aboriginal Facilitator of Learning is a role within the Department for Child Protection and is accountable to the Supervisor for:

  • Practice Development for developing, delivering, assessing, reviewing and evaluating learning programs and resources with substantial Aboriginal content
  • Responsible for providing practitioners with job specific learning and development programs to increase knowledge, skills and techniques, to work effectively with Aboriginal children and families
  • The role is involved in case managing learners and developing learning plans appropriate to the skills, role and learning requirements of individuals and groups and improving cultural competence and providing policy development in terms of culturally appropriate training programs
