Senior Advisor Workplace Relations

The Senior Advisor Workplace Relations is responsible for providing professional advice and support to line Managers in relation to people management, industrial and employee relations issues.

Key Responsibilities for this role include:

  1. Investigations. Provide expert industrial relations advice to support and undertake workplace investigations, including disciplinary, grievance, bullying and harassment.
  2. Performance Management. Support and guide line managers to effectively manage underperformance and excessive absence issues.
  3. Policy Development. Contribute to the review of Organisational Development policies and procedures to suit the needs of the organisation.
  4. Projects. Contribute to the successful delivery of Organisational Development projects, taking responsibility as directed.
  5. Legislation and Award Interpretation. Provide professional advice around interpretation of industrial, Local Government and relevant legislation and awards impacting on employee management.
  6. Culture and Change. Support the end to end change initiatives and development of corporate culture in line with Council requirements, providing Organisational Development advice and guidance.

Your application must demonstrate your skills and experience in the following mandatory requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a senior HR and Industrial Relations Advisor role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current employment and industrial relations legislation, Local Government legislation and awards.
  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking workplace investigations.
  • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional driver’s licence.
