The Opportunity

This position has been created to ensure that the varied activities and functions performed by our Project Delivery Team comply with and are delivered in accordance with our HSE management system and requirements. This is a 12 month role based in Hobart, Launceston or Devonport.

Key Accountabilities

  • Review the systems and tools used by the Project Delivery Department and align to organisational best practice.
  • Support and guide Project Managers and Supervisors to fulfil their contractor management obligations in regards to HSE.
  • Assist in the development of HSE selection criteria for tenders and assess tenders for capacity.
  • Develop contractor monitoring programs to ensure HSE requirements are met.
  • Report on departmental performance and adherence to HSE requirements.
  • Identify and report on emerging HSE issues.

Selection Criteria

Your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the selection criteria in the Position Description, summarised as follows:

  • Certificate IV in OHS or equivalent competence.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a HSE role.
  • Extensive experience with HSE implementation and management in civil, electrical or mechanical projects.
  • Ability and experience in integrating HSE into project management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the WH&S Act and current health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
