The Town is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our Human Resources team. This position will have a particular focus on training and development. The role will also support the HR team through positive team participation, and will be required to assist with administrative and operational duties as required, provide advice on HR practices and ensure that all processes are compliant with relevant legislation including industrial awards and instruments, and are reflective of best practice.

This is an opportunities to partner with business units, form strong relationships and to support and participate in organisational transformation in the heart of one of Australia’s most signi´Čücant cultural and industrial hubs rarely come around. We are looking for a positive and motivated professional for the position of Human Resources Officer at the Town of Port Hedland in Western Australia.

Previous experience within a HR or training role is a must, as is high attention to detail, self-motivation and drive. We are seeking an individual who thrives in a fast paced environment, and has the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business as well as external organisations.

Demonstrated previous experience in a similar Human Resources/Training role or equivalent in either the private or public sector are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will receive a pro rata salary of $88,703.43 per annum. The remuneration package also includes six weeks annual leave plus 17.5% leave loading (pro-rata based), wellness program which includes discounted gym membership and pool passes, superannuation co-contribution scheme, training and professional development opportunities, family oriented and lifestyle supportive working conditions.
