The Victorian School Building Authority is a body within DET, focussed on the delivery of a significant school infrastructure program across the state. The Authority is at the forefront of cutting edge school design, development and construction innovation, unifying policy and delivery, supporting Victoria in becoming the Education State. An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Project Officer to join the Major Projects team within the Delivery Division of the Victorian School Building Authority.

The purpose of this Project Officer role is to assist in the delivery of a number of school infrastructure related capital works projects or PPP school infrastructure projects. This involves a range of tasks and activities including: administrative and project coordination support to a larger team of project managers/or project officers across all aspects of project management; collaborating with internal and external stakeholders; collecting and maintaining effective and meaningful data and ensuring such data is recorded in the relevant databases and project management systems; assisting with the coordination and preparation of meeting and on-site inspection agendas, minutes and action list follow up; liaising with internal teams as well as other governmental (state, federal or local) agencies ensuring the development of effective working relationships; provision of clear and timely advice and reporting on project related matters to a range of stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will have qualifications in contract/project management/administration; knowledge and good experience in the planning, execution and delivery of projects, including stakeholder management and consultant/contractor liaison; demonstrated project coordination and administration skills; excellent written and oral communication and superb administration skills; excellent interpersonal skills and be able to engage with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining the projects momentum at all times; good understanding and experience of public sector infrastructure funding and delivery systems.
