Document Controller

Ngaanyatjarra Repairs and Maintenance (NRM) is currently seeking a Document Controller to join our team based in the Perth CBD. This position provides accurate synchronisation of document control and processing.

About the role

This role is responsible for the software data entry and execution management of all work orders within the maintenance area. In particular, the role must focus on knowledge, accuracy and quality of work, while completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.  You will work closely with internal departments as well as sub-contractors.

Ngaanyatjarra Council (Aboriginal Corporation) represents the interests of around 2000 members who live in 12 remote Indigenous Communities in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands of Western Australia.

Your key duties will include:

  • Process maintenance requirements.
  • Sourcing maintenance SOR codes to report maintenance to client as requested from completed inspections and as required
  • Liaison with sub-contractors to ensure required documentation is submitted with accuracy 
  • Engaging with sub-contractors to ensure work orders completed are of quality
  • Preparation of invoices for all completed works
  • Handle administrative requests and queries from senior management
  • Achieving/working towards client targets 


About You

The attributes and skills required to be considered for this role include:

  • Industry experience with previous Maintenance/plumbing/trades administrative experience is essential
  • Document management experience including exposure to database management systems
  • Exposure to maintenance scheduling
  • A good understanding of the trade maintenance product knowledge
  • Advanced level of administrative skill (daily reporting, documentation and data bases)
  • Advanced level of computer skills. Experience in working with MS Office applications.
  • Demonstrated reliability and a positive attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with sound organisational and time management skills.
  • A good understanding of the trade maintenance product knowledge



This full time position comes with a remuneration package that includes a base salary of $55,000 plus superannuation, annual leave loading and the benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging. We also offer a flexible, modern and friendly work environment. The position is located in our Perth CBD Office.
