The Housing Officer is a role within Housing SA and is accountable to the Team Leader, Operations Manager, Manager Far West or Manger Remote for: Providing clients with information, referral, advocacy, client management and tenancy management services; identifying and responding to the cultural and specific needs of Aboriginal clients; providing advocacy and referral services to clients; undertaking tenancy management of social rental housing properties and modelling the behaviours aligned with the service values of Housing SA.

Special Conditions: Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a Background Screening and National Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC) prior to being employed and every three years. The incumbent in the role is a Mandated Notifier of child abuse under the Children’s Protection Act 1993. Must hold a current Australian issued Driver’s Licence (equivalent to minimum class ‘C’ – South Australian), which must be maintained. Incumbents must be willing and able to drive all government vehicles within their licence classification during the course of their duties. Some intrastate travel necessitating overnight absences may be required. Some out of hours work may be required upon activation of the Emergency Relief Functional Support Group. Appointment will be to a specific Region within Housing SA with possible movement to any other Region depending on organisational needs. The incumbent may be assigned to any other area to perform work of a similar nature appropriate to the classification on a temporary or continuing basis.

Additional Notes: The pool will operate for a period of up to 12 months and recommended applicants will be eligible for employment opportunities for temporary/term vacancies. Remuneration: $69,135 - $72,616 (ASO4)
