Warehouse Trainee

Mackay Regional Council is seeking to appoint a maximum-term full-time Warehouse Trainee.

The Position

The purpose of this positions is to complete a Certificate III in Warehousing Operations and acquire skills, experience and knowledge via on the job training to support successful completion of a qualification. During your two-year traineeship, you will work with the Plant and Procurement program to gain experience in all aspects of a warehouse environment. Warehouse trainees will assist the Warehouse Supervisor with the management of Council's warehouse facilities by assisting with daily dispatch, daily stocktakes, forklift operations, delivering items to other Council offices and supplying warehouse services to internal and external customers whilst promoting a safe working environment. Your skills and abilities will be developed while being exposed to many new challenges that will stretch you as an individual and help you set off on the right foot towards a long and successful career in your chosen industry.

Employment is offered on a temporary full-time basis for the duration of traineeship (up to 24 months).
