Council now has career defining opportunities for two experienced and highly motivated individuals to work with a progressive Council and a outcomes focused leadership team.

Chief Financial Officer

Reporting to the General Manager as an integral member of the senior leadership team, you will have demonstrated:

  • Your ability to successfully manage the finance function at both a strategic and operational level in a highly complex Council organisation or similar environment including all aspects of financial management, asset management, reporting, compliance and forward planning;
  • A detailed knowledge of the current financial sustainability issues and challenges facing local government and in particular councils in far western region NSW;
  • An ability to develop effective strategies, systems and processes designed to maximise Council’s ongoing long term financial sustainability;
  • An ability to work across all areas of Council’s operational areas and support Council programs and projects to achieve desired outcomes for the community;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance and eligibility for CPA membership status are essential.
